There is a way to see that your legacy endures for future generations of Chicago readers by considering an estate gift to the Chicago Public Library Foundation.

A simple bequest can be included easily in your will when it is written or revised. Your charitable bequest, which is fully deductible from your gross estate, will benefit the Chicago Public Library.

Notable Legacy Gifts

Funded by a gift from Oprah Winfrey to the Chicago Public Library Foundation, each year the Oprah Winfrey Fund provides resources for the purchase of Newbery, Caldecott and King Award-winning children's books for all Library locations.

The Pick International Relations grant from the Albert Pick Jr. Fund allows for collections and free public programs that foster dialogue and debate by presenting various viewpoints and a balanced exchange of ideas on complex global issues.
